Oh hey, look, a BLOG! Uhh, were you expecting something else?
So yeah, you found it. This is the story of a girl… NOT the Nine Days “Story of a Girl.” Nope, not by a long shot. This is the story of a girl abandoning roots in the Midwest and moving to the East Coast. Crazy? Some might say. Dream come true? Absolutely.
New York is the one place I’ve been that feels like home. I will NEVER forget that feeling I got the first time I stepped out of Penn Station onto the street back in June of 2009. I want that feeling every single day for the rest of my life. So, I’mon my way to get it.
The adventure starts August 2, 2011 at 6:50 AM. I get on the plane. I arrive at LaGuardia at 1:03 PM. Take the bus into the city, subway down to Chelsea, check in, start life.
This is the place where I’m going to tell it ALL. With that said, family, you miiiiight want to think twice about following this so closely. Am I going to be writing about that night out at the bars waking up in some unfamiliar place with someone I don’t recognize? You betcha! We’re taking honesty and reality to a whole new level. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen. (Ha. Ha. Sorry, never again.)
Comment me, share me, link me, add me, stalk me, do whatever you want to me. Unless I say no. Then just give me a martini and ask again.
So, like the title says, Don’t Stop, NYC!
